The Nightmare of having to Reset your Admin Password…
And Not Knowing How to Do It!

It happens to the best of us. You go to turn on your PC, your admin login comes up and you sit there with a blank stare on your face. “Damn…what was that password?”

Too late…it’s gone and you have no way of getting into your computer. If you’re currently suffering from this problem, at the end of this article, I’m going to show you how to fix it in three mouse clicks. But the main purpose of this article is to give you a way to keep this from happening again.

Let me start off by saying that there is no point in keeping your password stored somewhere on your PC in case you forget it. Think about it, if you can’t access your PC, having it ON the PC itself is pointless.

However, there are things you can do WITHOUT putting your security at risk. And no, you don’t want to take a sticky note and paste it on your monitor. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a password in the first place. Make sense?

Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t have your password written down somewhere. The question is, where? Where can you keep it so that you don’t have to worry about somebody finding it?

Well, it may not the most secure place, but it is better than nothing… You could keep it in a sock drawer or some place in the house where somebody is least likely to look for it. As long as it’s nowhere near where your actual computer is, you’ll be pretty safe.

But the very best place to keep your passwords and ALL your important documents is in a safety deposit box. Yes, I know…that means a trip to the bank or wherever the box is, in order to retrieve your password, but you certainly never have to worry about somebody finding it. Most people’s banks are fairly close to home anyway, so it shouldn’t be too much of a trip.
